(四) 代词/不定代词
代词是代替名词以及起名词作用的短语、分句和句子的词。大多数代词具有名词和形容词的功能。
英语中的代词，按其意义、特征及在句中的作用分为：人称代词、物主代词、指示代词、反身代词、相
互代词、疑问代词、关系代词和不定代词八种。前五类用法相对简单，第六类和第七类在后面讲从句的
时候也会提到，本部分重点讲解常考易错的不定代词的用法。
定义和分类
不指明代替任何特定名词或形容词的代词叫做不定代词。不定代词表示各种程度和各种类型的不定意
义，它们在逻辑意义上是数量词，具有整体或局部的意义。不定代词可分为三类：1. 一般不定代词;2. 个
体不定代词;3. 数量不定代词。
用法辨析
1. neither/nor
1) 如从句是否定，则主句用 neither，而不用 nor。如：
If you can’t pass the exam，neither can I. 如果你不能通过考试，我也不能。
2) 如后面连续有几个否定句式，则用 nor，不用 neither。
He can’t play cards, nor basketball, football, table tennis.
他不会打牌、打篮球、踢足球或打乒乓球。
2. many/much
many 和 much 的意思都是“许多”，但用法不同：many+可数名词;much+不可数名词。如：
Many people died in the earthquake.那次地震死了很多人。
Much time has been wasted on this matter.在这件事情上浪费了很多时间。
3. anyone/any one
1) anyone 仅指人。如：Is anyone here? 这儿有人吗?
2) any one 既可指人，也可指物。如：
If you need help, you can call any one of us.如果你需要帮助，给我们中的任何人打电话都行。
You can eat any one of these apples. 你可以吃这些苹果中的任何一个。
4. no one /none
1) none 后跟 of 短语，既可指人又可指物;no one 只单独使用，只指人。如：
None of us will go there. 我们没有人去哪儿。
No one is under any obligation to you. 没有一个人受惠于你。
2) none 作主语，谓语动词用单，复数均可;no one 作主语谓语动词只能是单数。如：
None of us are teachers. 我们都不是教师。
In this class no one likes him. 这个班没有一个人喜欢他。
5. every/each
1) every 强调全体的概念;each 强调个体概念。如:
Every student in our school has a dictionary.我们学校的学生都有字典。
Each student in our school has a dictionary.我们学校的每个学生都有一本字典。
2) every 指三个以上的人或物(含三个);each 指两个以上的人或物 (含两个)。如：
Every teacher has been informed of the good news. 好消息告诉了全体老师。
Each teacher has been informed of the good news. 好消息告诉了每一位老师。
3) every 只作形容词，不可单独使用;each 可作代词或形容词。如：
Every student has to take the exam. 所有的学生都要参加考试。
Each girl can take one apple. 每一个女孩都可拿一个苹果。
Each of the teachers can be given a computer. 给每一位老师一台电脑。
4) every 有反复重复的意思，如 every two weeks 等;each 没有。
5) every 与 not 连用，表示部分否定;each 和 not 连用表示全部否定。
Every child is not honest. 并非每个孩子都诚实。
Each child is not honest.每个孩子都不诚实。
6. one/another/the other
1) 泛指另一个用 another。 如;
Please give me another. 请给我另一个。
2) 一定范围内的两人(物)，一个用 one，另一个用 the other。
He had two brothers. One died two years ago; the other died one year ago.他有两个兄弟，一个前年去世
了，另一个去年去世了。
3) 一定范围内的三者，一个用 one，另一个用 another，第三个可用 a third。如：
She has three sisters. One is a teacher; another is an accountant; a third is an engineer.
她有三个姐妹，一个是教师，另一个是会计师，还有一个是工程师。
4) 一定范围内，除去一部分人/物，剩余的全部用 the others。
Twenty students went out, the others stayed in the classroom.
有 20 个学生出去了，剩下的都呆在教室里。
7. few, little, a few, a little
1) (a) few +可数名词; (a) little +不可数名词。如：
Can you stay a few days longer? 你能多留几天吗?
Few people like snakes. 很少有人喜欢蛇。
We only need a little tea for a cup of tea. 我们只需要一点儿茶叶来泡茶。
There is little time left. 没有多少时间了。
2) a few/a little 为肯定含义，指的是还有一点; few/little 为否定含义，指的是没有多少了。
8. one，that 和 it
one 表示泛指;that 和 it 表示特指。that 与所指名词为同类，但不是同一个;it 与所指名词为同一
个。
I can’t find my pen. I think I must buy one.(不定)
我找不到我的钢笔了。我想我该去买一支。
The pen you bought is more expensive than that I bought.(同类但不是同一个)
你买的那只钢笔比我买的贵。
I can’t find my pen. I don’ t know where I put it.(同一物)
我找不到我的钢笔。我不知道我把它放在哪儿了。
9. neither/either
1) either 指两者中的任何一个，neither 指两者都不。作代词时，either 和 neither 一般接单数动词。作
限定词时，一般接单数名词。如：
Either of them will be appointed manager of the company.
他们两个中有一个将会被任命为公司经理。
Neither of the two speaks French well.
这两个人法语哪个说得都不好。
2) either...or 表示两个中的一个;neither...nor 表示“既不，也不”;either...or, neither...nor 连接的两个名
词或代词作主语时，谓语动词与最靠近它的主语一致。如：
Either she or you are to be responsible for the accident. 要么是她，要么是你，应对事故负责。
Neither he nor I have been here before.他和我以前谁都没来过这儿。
3) either 表示也不，用于否定句，放在句末。如：
I can’t swim; she can’t swim, either. 我不会游泳，她也不会游泳。
4) neither 可以引导倒装句，表示和前面的情况一致，而且前面为否定句。如：
He can’t play card, neither can I. 他不会打牌，我也不会。
